DOMAINE DE MAUREPAIRE
In the humid Champagne, at 1 hour 30 of Paris, Domaine de Maurepaire specialises in the hunting of small game and especially that of the game of water. If ducks and teal are here the king game, we do not forget the other pheasants (common and revered) and red partridge. The territory consists of hilly plains, two ponds (one of 17 hectares) and timber, with a total area of approximately 240 hectares. The hunting modes used differ according to game hunted: we find the past to ducks in the vicinity of the ponds at night, hunting beaten up for small game up to 25 rifles, hunting in front of the stop dog, and archery hunting is also possible. With regard to the hunting of game water, specific equipment is at your disposal (boots…), and a Labrador is responsible for bringing ducks back from the pond. These hunts take place during the opening periods, namely from late August to late January.
