THE CHAMPAGNE PLAIN
Go there and contact
In the north/north-east of Troyes, the champagne plain spreads to a loss of sight, although downward by a wind park that almost turns into the eye. For lovers of large spaces, cereal fields that have just finished just through two streams of water: the Seine and Dawn (which gave its name to the department). It is also around these rivers, which often bordered a proud poplar, that the people elected home, with here and there some curiosities such as these ancient streets in Trouans-le-Petit, Elm or Le Oak, in the valley of the Dawn. They open on traditional champenoises farms built in chalk, in perfect square, and wooden areas but also museums, such as the Botanical Museum of Marnay. Through its configuration, this country site makes it easy to practice ATV or family walks, with a possibility to borrow the bike-track, in a pastoral spirit, but the landscape is punctuated by a mass of windmills that unfortunately distort the walk a little!
