SAINT-LÉGER CHURCH

It was built the year when Christopher Columbus was discovering America. 1492. This makes it one of the oldest churches with still standing wood. The church of Saint-Léger-sous-Margerie with its adjoining cemetery has been beautifully restored and is truly typical of the region of Champagne lakes. The western part of the nave was deeply reworked two centuries later and percée. The steeple dates back to the same time. A carved stone crucifix also makes the building's originality, as well as the 1719 altarpiece altar. The small windows with windows still have their frames. The interior remained as it was. Notice the multitude of golden stars that illuminate the blue sky of the vault.
