ST. JOHN'S CHAPEL

From inside, you do not know whether you are in the belly of a whale or the hull of a boat: all the originality of the place is there! Built at the end of the th century, this small wooden building, typical of the Champagne region, is one of the oldest of its kind. Saint John Chapel is also the small wooden building in the department. She communicated with a maladrerie so that the lepers could attend the mass, behind bars. It includes a painting of the decapitation of Saint John-Baptiste, or the drawings of the ceiling stencil and drawings to the charcoal depicting Saint Catherine and Sainte Barbe. Note the wooden tile bell that contrasts with roof tiles.
