Guided tour to discover the abbey where Saint Bernard lived, one of the best kept in France.
It was Saint Bernard who came to Clairvaux to build the famous abbey nine centuries ago, where he lived until his death in 1153. Today, very long walls, in successive rows, forbid any view on the vestiges of these former splendors. Clairvaux is one of the best guarded centers in France. However, the Ministry of Culture has taken over the space of the main historical buildings, which are accessible to visitors during guided tours.

Grand site historique. Partiellement rénové. Dommage car il y a beaucoup de bâtiments qui mériteraient plus d attention mais c est une affaire de financement comme souvent.

Superbe lieu, à visiter, si vous aimez les vielles pierres, tout a était rénové, c'est superbe... Je recommande vivement...

Visite surprenante de part son histoire, ce site renferme à la fois un passé religieux et carcéral. Présentation claire et très complète grâce à la guide. Ce site va connaître une rénovation importante dans les futures années ce qui va transformer ce lieu si unique. Passionnés de site historique, dépêchez vous !
