CASTLE OF ARC EN BARROIS
Go there and contact
This castle impresses by his majesty. Arc-en-Barrois has indeed experienced three castles: The first was built on the gallo-roman site of the Motte, and abandoned in the xiiith century for another building, this time located on the edge of the Aujon, not far from the present castle. So Arc was surrounded by walls. The castle we admire today was built by the Princess of Orléans for Louis Philippe. The Princess Adélaïde invites the site by adding water parts, stables and accommodation for staff. He was complimented in 1873 by his son, the prince of Joinville, of an original design cooler. It was also this prince who transformed the old forge into sawmill in 1858, and the dota of a steam machine of 80 horses. An American uncle arrived in the twentieth century restored the castle, metamorphosed it to the place of reception, and since then offers many rooms. Their price is very honest if you go through online platforms.
