TOUR OF THE AUDIENCE
The audience tower dates from the thirteenth century and was originally part of Chateauvillain Castle, disappeared. Rather classical, it was used to render a sentence. The audience consists of several parts that have been developed by the city: the seigneurial tower welcomes the own-initiative union today. In the Audience Room is the small museum of the city. There is a beautiful model made from an original plan dating from 1865 and signed by the architect Ragot. It represents the space formerly occupied by Chateau de Châteauvillain and allows to realize the immense evolution of the citadel, whose construction spread from twelfth to seventeenth century. In the Delivery Room and the Guard Room, animations and exhibitions are set up each year in summer: local and international sculptors, painters and photographers present their works. Finally, the so-called Colombier Hall houses the Jean Drouot donation. Exhibitions are taking place.
