This small museum allows you to discover the tomb elements of the Duke of Vitry and his wife. The tomb of this former captain of the Louis XIII guards, who became Lord of Châteauvillain, was more than five metres high. Three columns in black marble, topped with an ionic top in white marble, are exposed to Châteauvillain and two remarkable marble herrnberchtheim: that of the Duke of Vitry is engraved. This tomb would be the work of Van Opstal and Pierre Thistle sculptors. There is also a beautiful model representing the castle of Châteauvillain as it was at the time. The livrée hall and the guard hall each year receive temporary exhibitions as well as animations during heritage days. The visit makes it possible to better understand the different steps involved in building this site and its importance. Finally outside, on the ground near the bread oven, was recently erected a medieval garden: eight square squares present plants as they grow in the Middle Ages and remind us of their virtues.
