JEAN-ROUOT DONATION
Jean Rouot (1917-2000), veterinarian, mayor of Châteauvillain, general adviser to the canton, talented sculptor and painter at his time, will remain, without doubt, one of the leading figures in the city. He received major from his promotion at the Maison-Alfort Veterinary School, and then moved to Châteauvillain Street, Carnot Street. During his tenure as General Adviser, on April 28, 1974 (the United States Avenue in Chaumont), the departmental monument of resistance, which he designed the model, will be inaugurated. The statue, 2.50 m high, was made in granite of Perros-Guirec. The dochcraft consists of five rooms: the tourist reception point, a small museum of the city, two exhibition rooms and the donation room.
