THE ROCK PARK
Visit the Parc des Roches in Bourmont-entre-Meuse-et-Mouzon, a forest that Mutel redesigned using natural elements
It is thanks to Hyacinthe Mutel (the former director of the royal college of Chaumont) that we can admire this extraordinary place today. He bought the land in 1821 and decided to play with the rocks and perspectives to create a park. To tell the truth, the site is neither really a garden nor a park, it is a forest that Mutel has redesigned by playing with the natural elements. Children will love it because the grounds have many surprises in store. You will find the cool, a kind of natural bubble, very well maintained.
