This splendid little Italian theater comes back! In 1862, the building was designed as a wheat hall on the ground floor, the floor being arranged in the reception and concert room. At the mayor's request, Dr. Mougeot was completely renovated in 1906, making it a charming Italian theater. It is officially inaugurated in 1908. In 1919, German prisoners restored the theater (well damaged by war) and decorated it. The room then boasts a richly flowered décor. The theater grows in the crazy years, some actresses of the Odeon and the French Theater give very popular performances. Unfortunately, competition by Aragon in 1988 will close its doors in 2002. Its inscription to the Historical Monuments the fate of oblivion and results in full restoration in 2008. It can now host 334 spectators. This beautiful monument benefits from an entrance highlighted by the sculptures of Mathurin Moreau. It is a beautiful building that this theater, and you can admire it in the courtyard of private tours organized by the tourist office.
