THE PARADISE
Here is a unique and original collection of over 700 plaster models of the Antoine Durenne fonds, this precursor of the melting of art coming to sleep in Dorvoire in 1847 and produced many fountains, statues, urban furniture and memorials visible all over the world. You will identify these sculptures to their name Fontaine Wallace, in Paris in particular. Paradise is the name of the hangar workers storing many religious statues. Thanks to the passion of the association Les Compagnons de Saint Pierre, this immense collection has been preserved and maintained. These people of paradise are the link between art and industry, and bear witness to the diversity of the creations of the time, which can be approached from an artistic, sociological, architectural or technical point of view. Signatures from great artists (Bartholdi, Guimard, Carrier-Belleuse, Rouillard…) make it an invaluable collection. We had a heartbeat for this place that seems to be filled with an unreal, beautiful atmosphere. The statue is beautiful…
