Old house in Saint-Cyprien elaborating Périgord-inspired menus and mussels and French fries.
This old Périgord house has kept all its rustic and warm aspect. We can certainly serve you Périgord-inspired menus, but also and above all mussels and chips (mussels with marinara, chorizo, Roquefort, Indian style, Provençal style, garlic and Périgourdine style) which are all 13 euros. That's a lot of choice for a change from duck! As for the night, you can stay in all simplicity at a very low price.

The main dinning room is lovely, very cozy and charming, but the outdoor terrace is truly wonderful. With exposed stone walls, a hidden lush garden full of flowers, parakeets and a couple of fast turtles that roam the area, soft classical piano music in the background, so very charming.
But it is the food that is even more special than the location, it is traditional and authentic fare, rich with delightful flavors of the Périgord Noir, cooked perfectly, and very-very inexpensive!
My wife had the 16€ menu; soup of the day (a delightful vegetable), then a starter of the day that was a salmon mousse that was also very tasty. Then her main course, pork with tarragon sauce, that was the best, very rich and savory, absolutely delightful. Then her dessert a fabulous flavor filled Basque tart with almond filling, again the best choice.
I had the Scallop of duck foie gras as a starter, this alone is worth coming here to eat, do not miss it it's absolutely that fantastic!
My son and I had the "poultry" dumplings with provençale sauce that was very tasty the dumplings cooked to perfection, but not quite as great as the pork.
He had the chocolate tart for dessert that was mild and pleasant served in a wonderful vanilla sauce.
Service was friendly and helpful, we were treated magnificently, they really went out of their way to make the meal a memorable experience.
HIGHLY RECOMENED a 10/10!
