NOTRE-DAME-DE-LA-NATIVITÉ CHURCH
The church was built during the boom of Wassy (xie and XII) from 1140 to 1180. Several architectural styles can be distinguished: use of the arch in the full hanger, the broken arch, cubic chapel, square square… The church also suffered the consequences of religious wars; in 1591, it was looted and burned, its roof and arrow destroyed. Upon renovation, Our Lady will change once again. Several new chapels are added in the xivth century. In the nineteenth, it is changing once again: It's a semi-circular abbey. Notre-Dame-en-sa-Nativity is known for its superb organ, classified as a historic monument. It was created by Louis Le Bel fin xviie and retained most of its original appearance. Last but not least, this church is one of the only two Romanesque churches in Haute-Marne. A beautiful building that sometimes becomes a place of exposure.
