ABBAYE D'IGNY
Val d'Igny Abbey is a monastery of Cistercian nuns located in the commune of Arcis-le-Ponsart, in the Marne département of France. Founded in 1127 by monks from Clairvaux, the abbey has been destroyed several times during its history, but has always been rebuilt. On site, visitors can learn about the abbey's history, community and spirituality. Chocolate is also available from the abbey store. For art lovers, an exhibition of watercolours is currently on show in the abbey store this summer. Finally, Val d'Igny Abbey also offers a special program for young women aged between 21 and 35, with a gap year at the abbey.
