CASTLE OF BRAUX-SAINTE-COHIÈRE
Built at the end of the 16th century by Philippe de Thomassin, this former fortified commandery was the seat of Dumouriez during the Battle of Valmy. In summer, the castle opens to visitors to discover its history through a visit to its officers' quarters, its hunting and weapons lounge and its 17th century chapel... all in period costume for children who will have the pleasure of wearing knight's capes and princess dresses. The 10 ha park offers a splendid setting for country walks with its orangery, bridle paths, rose garden and the garden of the simple. As for entertainment, we have fun as a family thanks to about fifty old games to discover throughout the estate as well as an investigation that will take you in search of Philippe de Thomassin's lost treasure. The castle also organizes workshops for children: story time, making madeleines... as well as shows throughout the year.
