DORMANT CASTLE
Château now owned by the town of Dormans, ideal for a walk in its beautiful wooded grounds
Built by Jean I de Dormans in the 14th century, the Château de Dormans has been home to such illustrious figures as Cardinal Jean II, the Grand Condé and Marshal de Broglie. Today owned by the town of Dormans, this magnificent edifice cannot be visited, but you can still admire its architecture by visiting the Memorial to the Battles of the Marne, strolling through its beautiful 25-hectare wooded park and wandering the garden paths between its fishing ponds, rivers, cascades and Japanese bridges.
