For three days, Epernay celebrates its status as the capital of champagne by setting the entire city ablaze with spectacular events and demonstrations to showcase the city and the champagne. Demonstrations and tastings with starred chefs associated with regional producers and champagne houses are on the program, as well as exhibitions, cellar tours and a host of shows to discover. The city of Epernay is the organizer of the events taking place on the public domain while the champagne houses ensure, as it should be, the animation of their own monuments and establishments, in particular with the installation of champagne bars.

Déception
La fête du champagne qui célébrait cette année son vingtième anniversaire, nous a déçu. Indépendamment d'une météo médiocre qui a provoqué l'annulation du feu d'artifice le vendredi, les sons et lumières et , plus encore, le défilé n'ont pas répondu à notre attente: belles projections mais contenu peu intelligible ( saluer l'effervescence du champagne en montrant l'âge de fer ??), chars costumés simplistes. Toutes les dégustations sont payantes et proportionnellement onéreuses; nous avons consommé une seule fois: de toute évidence , la maison de champagne-pourtant réputée- vidait ses stocks.
