Founded in 1904, the S.G.V. de la Champagne represents over 99% of winegrowers. Its role is to defend the interests of the vineyards and support winegrowers in managing their businesses. The SGV works with government departments and professional organizations. It co-manages the Champagne sector with the Union des maisons de Champagne within the Comité interprofessionnel du vin de Champagne, taking joint decisions on behalf of winegrowers and merchants.

Message from Management
Located in Épernay, the Syndicat Général des Vignerons de la Champagne was created in 1904. It gathers more than 99% of the Champagne winegrowers, that is to say nearly 20 000 members. Its mission is to help the member winegrowers in the sale of their production and gives them the opportunity to participate in trade shows to reach new markets. The Union also organizes numerous training courses that allow each member to update their knowledge and anticipate the development of their business. It develops skills that are a reference in the regulatory, legal, social, tax, accounting and economicfields .
