This place of remembrance, inaugurated on September 15, 2018, brings out plenty of emotions
If Fismes was liberated in August 1918, it was thanks to the Americans: a small town in Pennsylvania, Meadville, provided a large contingent of men, most of whom ended up in Fismes. Decades later, the people of Fismes have not forgotten, they continue to have a special relationship with the American town. This place of memory, inaugurated on September 15, 2018 in tribute to all the American soldiers who fell here, is not only an object of scientific, cultural, tourist knowledge at the international level but brings out plenty of emotions.
