16th century castle with a French-style park, to be visited during Heritage Days and in the summer months

Built in the ^16th century, this superb château was purchased in 1678 by Louvois, minister of Louis XIV, who had it restored in 1682. Part of the French-style park of this brick and stone palace was designed by Le Nôtre. During the French campaign in February 1814, the Emperor lunched here on the morning of the battle. Owned by the de La Rochefoucauld family for two centuries (since 1779), it can be visited in summer or during Heritage Days. Not to be missed!

Chateau à Montmirail uniquement visitable le lundi mardi mercredi et jeudi à 15h00. Pas eu la possibilité de le visiter

Visite d un château mal aimé, acheté par une usine, guide fait par une femme désagréable et autoritaire, cours d histoire au lieu d une visite d émerveillement, besoin d être acheter par quelqu'un qui sait la restaurer et de l aimer, heureusement que ça n as coûte que 6 €, mais nous sommes enfermé à clés et nous ne pouvons pas partir avant les 2 heures sont finis. Je ne veut que partir, mais je n ai pas le droit
