Restaurant-wine bar offering traditional and quality cuisine, a burger near the town hall
Did you know that the people of Rémois are nicknamed "Les Cornichons"? Why is that? One of the many stories or myths is that the region's market gardeners made it their crop of choice. Part restaurant, part wine bar, Les Cornichons' decor is a real eye-catcher. The cold metal of the exterior is matched by a warm interior, where old elements have been diverted from their function: a beautiful library-counter, skilfully torn wallpaper, old desk lamps with crossbars hanging from the ceiling, where a number of frames featuring Bowie and old Reims also hang. The cuisine is traditional and of high quality: there's the Cornichons burger with brioche bun and caramelized onions, and the sublime fries cut and prepared on site... The welcome is friendly, the service relaxed and well done, and the advice on wine selection wise. The establishment also opens on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings at 6 p.m., when there's no catering, for an aperitif that can go on until 10 p.m. Just a stone's throw from the town hall, we love it!
