Hip hop is at the heart of this festival, which draws its name from the beat, a musical current born in the 90 s. It all started in 2006 with a dance battle organized at the Biotechnologies. In 2008, he became Reims Hip Hop Festival before being taken over in 2013 by the City of Reims and the Velvet Association. The 2013 edition was a success with nearly 7000 spectators in nine days. Programming is built around thematic issues that are happily intertwined: music, dance, visual arts, sports and agora. A total of 9 days of concerts, battles, exhibitions, digital graffiti throughout the city (Biotechnologies, Léo Lagrange Park, Cinema Opera, Tau Palace…). Half of the concerts are free, the others range between 5 and 23 euros.
