RJR
RJR should rhyme with passion and involvement, so admirable is the radio station's track record. With some fifty volunteers and a pair of motivated salaried staff, it will soon be celebrating its 30th anniversary. Over the years, it has grown from a small structure lacking in visibility and power to become a veritable reference point in Reims, partnering a number of institutions, notably cultural and sporting, and spearheading an ambitious project called Foot & Citoyenneté. The project, the brainchild of the radio station's sports journalist, enables young people to spend a day playing soccer matches, meeting professional players and discovering stands that will help them become future committed citizens. It's true that the station manager, James Jouffroy, is a seasoned presenter who knows how to give young people who want a chance a chance. In fact, recruitment is regular, and it's entirely possible for anyone to move on to professional media... As for programs, the range is truly eclectic and the names highly original: ZicABrac, 4 Quarts, Slam Plaît Bien, Culture Geek, Talk, Debout RJR!, Sport Club..
