LÉO LAGRANGE PARK
The largest public park in Rheims, with a semi-natural wetland, bird watching course and playgrounds
It is the largest urban park in Reims; a few open-air events take place there every year, on sunny days. Near the centre, next to the Auguste Delaune stadium and the skating pool, it was designed by landscape architect Jacques Sgard in 1978, who organized it around a lake. In the eastern part of this green space, you will discover a semi-natural wetland. Note that you also have a bird recognition course here, as well as two playgrounds for toddlers and older ones. We meet families, joggers, team sports enthusiasts. It is pleasant to walk there in the spring, sometimes to have a picnic.
Good to know:
A bird recognition course was set up in 2003 with the League for the Protection of Birds.
In 2013: creation of a 2,400 m2 skate park for urban sliding, skate, BMX, rollerblading and scooter.
In 2014: a fitness area is installed as well as modules creating a health path.
