CHAMPAGNE DUMÉNIL
A 100% Premier Cru vineyard in the heart of the Montagne de Reims. Created in 1874 by Emile-Paul Duménil, this beautiful independent family business is now run by the5th generation: Frédérique and Hugues Poret-Duménil, passionate winemakers who produce champagnes of character with pure respect for their land.
A guardian of time, specialising in Vintages and Special Cuvées, the Duménil House is also renowned for the precision of its blends and its highly technical wines.
In addition to the quality of an exclusively Premier Cru terroir (Chigny-les-Roses, Rilly-la-Montagne, Ludes and Sacy), we have a true artisanal know-how both in the vineyard and in the vat room. Yield control, environmental commitment at all times, preservation of the soil by favouring manual work as much as possible, organic fertilisers, the caterpillar and the horse to avoid compaction and to favour aeration, the House likes work well done and it shows!
The wines of the House are endowed with a beautiful gustatory signature, all fruity, greedy and round.
Cuvées :
Champagne Réserve 21 (1er cru): the House's signature since 1874. Under the action of the perpetual reserve, a subtle blend of racking and blending, freshness and maturity, this Cuvée keeps the memory of the wines from 1996 to 2016. Very well balanced, this champagne combines in equal parts the fruitiness of pinot meunier, the body of pinot noir and the finesse of chardonnay.

The couple are also saffron makers by profession. This precious spice indeed flourishes on chalky soils. Each year, just after the traditional August or September harvest, it is therefore a completely different harvest that awaits the team. The precious harvest allows them to make mustard, vinegar and honey from saffron! A real treat!
