Located today at the entrance to the city from Châlons, it was built in 1746, at the entrance to Paris. The Bridge Gate was named as it was at the entrance to a bridge that spanned the Bras de la Marne. Coming from Paris, she gave the traveller a remarkable view of the city, leaving the thread of the bridge Street, the Goddess, the College and in the background, the city hall. It was a nuisance for circulation and was destroyed by stone in 1939. It was in 1983 that it was rebuilt in the current place.
