CITY HOTEL
Dating back to the 17th century, the Town Hall was originally the former Récollets convent, burnt down and badly damaged on June 28, 1944. Restoration was completed in 1962. Today, the large 2.60-hectare gardens, with their two ponds, are a popular place for strolling. From here, you can see the facade of the former boys' college chapel, burnt down in 1940, which stood on the present site of the telephone exchange, as well as the sculpture of Adam and Eve, created by Alphonse Terroir and donated to the town of Vitry-le-François by the city of Paris.
