Close to the center of Ajaccio, this hike can be done with the whole family and offers you a nice panorama on the city and the gulf. Starting from the Bois des Anglais, the path gradually rises to reach the ridges. The scent of myrtles, olive and fig trees that line the path will intoxicate your nostrils and your eyes will shine at the sight of the Sanguinaires islands looming on the horizon. The descent is made near the beach of Trottel, an ideal excuse to dive into the sea.

Une magnifique ville à visiter où il faut prendre le temps de la découvrir avec ses différents quartiers sans oublier Napoléon, ses plages et sa magnifique baie. Nous avons bien aimé la capitale de la Corse.

Von einer Touristen-Info erwartet man im Allgemeinen das sich die Mitarbeitende in der eigenen Stadt auskennen....die öffentliche Toilette an der neuen Markthalle existiert nicht mehr bzw. sind nur zu Marktzeiten zugänglich (siehe antwort unten), deshalb die Frage dort gestellt wo es eine weitere gäbe...Auskunft in ganz Ajaccio gäbe es keine, was an sich ja schon ziemlich armselig wäre, und zudem auch noch falsch ist...wir haben später eine am Place de Gaulle gefunden.

Nachtrag: Was dann aber bleibt ist....wenn der Markt zu ist und die Toiletten am Place de Gaulle nicht immer zugänglich sind, dass eine Stadt die gerne eine Inselhauptstadt ist und für manche gerne eine Landeshauptstadt wäre, am Nachmittag keine öffentliche Toliette verfügbar ist. Das ist ein trauriger Zustand....
