A CUPULATTA
The largest turtle park in Europe with 3,000 specimens and 150 species, from the alligator turtle to the Galapagos giant!
This park is one of a kind. On a 2.5-hectare natural site, you can discover the hidden life of turtles. From South America to the Mediterranean, via Asia and Africa, all continents are represented, from the Indian star tortoise to the South American red-headed tortoise, from the giant Galapagos tortoise to the impressive alligator tortoise. Created by the Association A Cupulatta (tortoise in Corsican), the center's mission is to breed, study and protect land and water turtles from all over the world. The park is home to 150 species and a total of over 3,000 specimens. A remarkable natural setting, highly favorable climatic conditions and well-adapted facilities provide excellent living and breeding conditions. In 2023, three rare Mexican box turtles were introduced to the nursery. By 2021, park teams had already seen the birth of three toad turtles. A feat hailed the world over! This South American species, still little-known and difficult to observe in its habitat, has hardly ever reproduced in captivity. In 2022, the park saw the birth of 11 rare Indian pagoda tortoises. Dozens of eggs are waiting to hatch in the heated nursery. Every year, the A Cupulatta park registers numerous hatchlings, helping to preserve endangered species. The park is involved in exchange programs with other parks
reintroduction into the wild.
