Library with a majestic heritage room that measures 30 meters long in Ajaccio
The Ajaccio Municipal Library was opened in the north wing of the Fesch Palace, an elongated building constructed in 1968. It was originally intended to be a gallery for the exhibition of large paintings. The majestic heritage room is 30 metres long, 9 metres wide and 10 metres high. 16 windows open onto the gallery. Its walnut furniture (shelves and 18-metre long table) was designed by the architect Cazeneuve.
