A key meeting place for many events in Ajaccio
Piazza d'Olmo, where the only gate of the city once stood. The statue of Our Lady of Mercy, the Madunuccia, patron saint of the city and fervently celebrated on March 18, is nestled in a façade. It is a place of passage impossible to circumvent; the summer, it becomes a privileged place of meetings for numerous demonstrations, with the expenses of the fountain to the Four Lions: work of Jerome Maglioli, with, in its center, a first marble consul, of Laboureur. The changing of the guard is presented there every Thursday in July and August at 7 pm.
