A wide paved path leads to the Col Saint-Roch, where there is a pretty chapel in Bonifacio.
The upper town of Bonifacio, with its medieval origins, stands majestically on its promontory. What a sight from the sea! The town juts out sheer above the cliff! Don't miss the King of Aragon's 189-step staircase. Then, in the heart of the citadel, you're sure to get lost in the incredibly beautiful and somewhat mysterious little streets, leading to charming little squares. You can also admire the church of Sainte-Marie-Majeure and the famous walkway leading to the no less famous marine cemetery.
