A place where we try to identify the cellars, powder magazines and walls that housed the convicts piled up during the Second Empire.

From Ajaccio, heading for Propriano, you will take the small road that climbs through the large eucalyptus forest in the direction of the village of Coti-Chiavari. A real place where one tries to recognize, in these strange vestiges, the cellars, the powder magazines and the walls which sheltered the convicts piled up there during the Second Empire. Ideal for walks, picnics, mountain biking, in the shade of the large trees. Above the penitentiary, a picturesque walk is announced at the dam. The building of the penitentiary is now private and not visitable but the place is very pretty.
