Le Filon d'Argile is an art studio located in Goxwiller, Alsace. The artist, Suzanne Capdevielle, uses mainly stoneware clay and porcelain to create her sculptures and paintings. Her work is characterized by nuanced matte glazes and multiple firings, giving the clay colors of slate, stagnant water, ochre and moss. Suzanne Capdevielle is a member of the Fédération des Métiers d'Art d'Alsace (FREMAA) and the Ateliers d'Art de France. Her artistic approach is inspired by landscapes such as the Breton moors and their strange atmospheres, as well as by places imbued with serenity and solitude. Her creations explore both figurative sculpture, featuring the human body, and abstract wall panels.
