LES BAINS DE BARACCI
Located in Olmeto, in the heart of the magnificent Gulf of Valinco, the ancient Roman thermal baths have been under municipal management since 1992 and are currently benefiting from a rehabilitation and enhancement plan orchestrated by the ATC, Corsica's tourism agency. In the past, it was like going to the swimming pool. The two pools boast hot spring water at 39°C, sulphured and sodic, recommended for the external treatment of rheumatism, dermatitis and respiratory ailments. Built in 1881, the former Hôtel des Bains is a replica of a colonial house in Saigon. After a few laps in the pool, you can enjoy other aquatic pleasures (jacuzzi, hydro-massage bathtub, affusion shower) or try out a massage before stocking up on organic cosmetics based on sulfurous water and enhanced with myrtle, nepita and other beneficial maquis plants. At the time of our survey, the Bains de Baracci site had not yet reopened.
