One of six castelli in southeastern Corsica, located in Porto-Vecchio, with a fortified enclosure and main gate.
One of the six castelli of the Southeast of Corsica. It is a major architectural imprint left by the Torrean civilization, warriors who settled in Corsica between 6,000 and 1,600 B.C. This construction required a colossal work, considering the size of the stone blocks and the monumental entrance. The layout of the habitat is particularly elaborate, and we can still see today the fortified enclosure and its main door, but also a covered way and many rooms dug in the thickness of the walls.
