THE CHAPEL OF SANTA MARIA ASSUNTA
Chapel in the village of Favalello, next to the town hall, on a loop in the road to Quenza.
The small chapel of Santa Maria Assunta stands in the heart of the village of Favalello, in a loop of the road. Dating back to the year 1000, the ancient Romanesque chapel has two polychrome wooden statues, one representing the Virgin and the other Saint Stephen. The small chapel of Santa Maria Assunta is worth a visit for its 7th century lintel decorated with a curious cross, but also for its late 15th century frescoes. It has been completely restored.
