THE CASTLE OF QUENZA
A beautiful mansion with square tower and windows with columns, the home of the family Colonna Cesari in Quenza
The Castle of Quenza stands proudly at the threshold of the village of Quenza. A superb mansion with a square tower and columned windows, home of the Colonna Cesari family, built with Tuscan stones, on the model of the Palazzo del Podesta in Florence, unique in Corsica. In summer, the garden becomes a place of exhibition of contemporary art presided over by the sculptor Marc Pietri and the works of local artists adorn the whole village during the sculpture biennial. The castle will reopen its doors in 2024, following major rehabilitation work.
