It is THE weekly meeting place for the people of Bastia during the summer: the market aperitifs. Every Wednesday evening, the market square (or Hôtel de Ville square) is transformed by welcoming more than a thousand people who have come to enjoy the sweetness of life in Bastia. Restaurant owners and tenants push their terraces to the middle of this usually empty square, and seize this picturesque and emblematic place of Bastia. Every week, live concerts are offered at aperitif time. Bars and brasseries then offer tapas and other special offers: an atmosphere of a village square in the second largest city on the island! Remember to book in one of the establishments on the square to get a seat.
