The Sanctuaire Notre-Dame de Lavasina in Brando is an emblematic pilgrimage site in Corsica, dedicated to the Virgin Mary. Home to the venerated Miraculous Painting of "Notre-Dame des Grâces de Lavasina", it attracts large numbers of faithful every year, who come to find comfort and spirituality in prayer. The celebrations on September 7 and 8 include a solemn torchlight procession along the beach for the Nativity of the Virgin. Throughout September, pilgrims from all over the island flock to this Catholic spiritual shrine.
