COUVENT DE MARCASSU
Convent built in the 17th century on a rocky escarpment, housing rooms, a cloister and a church, place of worship and culture
Founded by the Franciscans, the convent of Marcassu has stood for 4 centuries in the heart of the well-named "garden of Corsica", nestled in one of the most picturesque valleys of the Balagne. Since 2019, the community of the Sisters of the Rosary of the Annunciation continues the mission of this spiritual place. The offices of Lauds, Vespers and Compline are sung in Gregorian in the convent church, open from dawn to dusk. You can experience the religious tranquility by booking a visit, or even meet a sister and confide a prayer intention.
