A Franciscan convent in Corbara to share a life of community, silence and prayer.

On the site of an ancient abbey, an orphanage was built in 1420 by Nicolas Savelli, bishop of Tino. In 1456, this place became a Franciscan convent until the Revolution. Today, the friars of St. John live here. To stay at the convent of Corbara is to want to share a community life, where silence and prayer, personal reflection and the beauty of a magnificent natural setting come together. It is not a hotel offering only food and lodging, but a religious family, the community of the brothers of the Congregation of St. John, which is open to those who wish to share their community life for a time. The convent is also a center for spiritual stays for all those who feel the need: young people, families or singles. The community offers them activities of prayer, spiritual and philosophical formation, as well as moments of relaxation and sport, within the framework of summer sessions. The following facilities are available: the chapel, the reading room with its library, the recreation room, the guest kitchen for the preparation of meals for the youngest. If you wish to enjoy the surroundings, you will need to bring walking shoes for the middle mountains. During a stay, everyone must commit to participate in the common services: cleaning, table service, dishes.

Services : Prayer at 6:45 am, Lauds at 7:30 am, Mass at 1:30 am, Sext at 12:15 pm, Vespers at 6 pm.

Welcome : Meals taken in common at 12:30 and 19:30.
