Visit to the house of General Jean-Pierre de Gaffory, besieged by the Genoese in 1750
Opposite the church, you'll come face to face with the house of the valiant general who captured and defended the town on numerous occasions. The house was besieged by the Genoese in 1750, and the hero's wife refused to surrender. The traces of bullets and cannonballs embedded in the stone are authentic. In front of the house, you can see the statue of the general and bas-reliefs illustrating the family's acts of bravery.
