The bandit's house, with a view over part of the Balagne region and the Mediterranean Sea at Feliceto
The bandit's house is located on the falcunaghja, the falcon's refuge in Corsican, at an altitude of 600 meters. It offers an unobstructed view over part of the Balagne region and the Mediterranean Sea. Easily accessible by footpath from the top of the village, it was built in the 17th century by a former mayor, atop an eagle's nest, to watch over his village and serve as an asylum for passing bandits. It's said that he watched the villagers with a spyglass. Don't forget to close the gates!
