THE THOUSAND-YEAR-OLD MASTIC PISTACHIO TREE
A short walk through orange groves, olive groves and immortelle fields to reach the pistachio tree
The lentisque is more a shrub of the Corsican maquis, but the one at Ghisonaccia, with its 3-meter circumference, could be a thousand years old. To get there, you'll have to follow a pretty itinerary, a short walk that takes you through orange groves, hazelnut groves, olive groves and immortelle fields. Take the small road to the left of Saint-Michel church, and walk for about 4 kilometers. When you reach the large milestone, turn right. The pistachio tree is 300 m away.
