This center aims to save the Hermann's turtle, a local species, but also to educate and inform the public.
Managed by the Regional Natural Park of Corsica, this centre aims to safeguard the Hermann tortoise, a local species, but also to raise awareness and inform the public. It appeared a million years ago and is the last French land tortoise. It is now only found in the Maures massif (in the Var), and in the marshes of Corsica. This village is therefore committed to its preservation. An interpretation trail and 4 enclosures allow you to discover its way of life... As for taking a turtle in the hands, it is a whole protocol.
