A CASA DI L'AMANDULI

First of all, unlike some other opinions, our opinion are not an opinion of kindness but a real and experienced opinion since we stayed 11 days in this cottage.

- HOME - After several hours drive and boat, Sylvie welcomed us by showing us our room then it is very part without asking whether we want to enjoy a cold drink (we would have appreciated, even a glass of water!), so minimum welcome us (ever seen in other cottages!)
We say that we had not arrived the empty handeds (as is often the) and we brought products of our region to them: a tomme de Savoie + a wine bottle, we regret of suite!

- CLEANING - Decent in the room, but not made carefully. What shocked us the most, it is the largest filth and the dead flies strewed with the bar and the drinks! Hygiene was not always...

- ROOM - Nice, good size but poorly soundproofed decoration

- ACTIVITIES:

* Pool: not cleaned the first day we were then swim each day with the robot which functioned during our swimming, good temperature (29°)

* Jacuzzi: Thanks to our insistence (several recurring requests), it was cleaned " quickly fait" also, when we wanted to start it, a black water and full of lively worms swarming were found in the waters of the jacuzzi!!! It was then emptied again, but filled... covered and when we opened it to start it and calentar water, they stopped it and one given the cover!
Also, if you want to enjoy the jacuzzi, and boast on their website, forget!

* Sauna: nonexistent, heard not spoken during our stay

* Beautician: No heard step spoken during our stay

* Boat trip: However, in order to put the intentionally doubt, all the marked prices include per person, except the boat for which it is displayed 29€... But these are €29 per person! Therefore the total price per person is from €48 (€29 boat + €19 picnic)
This junction is decent. 11:00 Departure and return 16:30. It brings us on Saleccia where the water is clear, turquoise blue and its beach with fine sand. We picnic on the beach. Careful at the price of drinks also charged...

- MEAL:

* Table: over 11 days of stay, the table d'hote was served to us just... only 1 time (+ 1 because we had asked it!) and only the days chosen not Sylvie! One far from a fixed menu every evening is just as indicated on their website...
Moreover, the dishes offered specialities like Corsica did not indicate anything on their website (chicken, gnocchi, apple tart...)

CAUTION: Sylvie invites to each table d'hôte of friends to it, it opens bottles, his friends and drink it heartily and it charges the entirety of wines to its guests! (even for those who never drink alcohol including me!).
To crown it all, one evening, it is arrival with a bottle of pink for the so-called with aperitif us like to other guests. But it with us (as usual), and we found the aperitif in question on our bill!

* Breakfast: very average (small let us banons of defrosted breads, brioches " pasquier" , defrosted industrial pastries, cold cuts, cheese fines slices Lerdamer style, orange juice and large area...In Short, we are far from the breakfast " maison" what one usually finds in the cottages!
I even had a day 1/2 bread with chocolate because, supposedly, my husband had eaten other half! The first day, we did not have pastries supposedly because of other guests had eaten them! The second day, we had 2 pastries/person then 1 alone after 3 days! Sylvie brought them to the account prueba and wanted to charge the people who have more! What a shame!

When we asked advice from Sylvie for a restaurant, it indicated very expensive restaurants systematically us and did not appreciate when we made even booking (that looks like a certain nearby completely! ...)
While we found a super small restaurant, " La Cigale " , 6 km from the cottage (St Florent management) where we could, among other things, to eat a super menu with... €17! (see our comments on Tripadvisor for this restaurant)

In short, we do not understand why Sylvie and Dominique manage this cottage because it is felt that they are forced and that everything annoys them deeply. All sounds so fake... In addition to their cottage, they have a shop frame in Bastia and a company of painting. How they can therefore be properly with their guests in their cottage and available? All bends according to their availability and they are guests who must adapt, which is a roof! (E.g.: exit boat cancelled day because their saleswoman being sick, her husband with go replace it with their shop and it has to be kept his daughter! ...)
When in famous Tony indicated on their website " it will tell you Corsica differently than read in the touristic guides, with passion and générosité" , we never met and it still let us we await you!

I will finish by an anecdote which shows the mentality of Sylvie well: Before coming, I had asked him whether I could make 1 or 2 laundries and it had responded me ok, since we stay 11 days. Well you imagine that she wanted to charge them me! (I say I had brought in my laundry more!)

To conclude, we can say that we are used to attending the cottages and table but never we did not see as many problems! We will never enter this cottage and we do not recommend it. There are of them a multitude of other cottages in Corsica, making them, worth a detour...
