Founded in 1440 by Janus de Campofregoso, this citadel in the heart of Saint-Florent overlooks the town and port.
Built in 1439 on a limestone rock, an island silhouette flanked by a square tower and two turrets, the citadel of Saint-Florent is immediately recognizable. It lies at the heart of the town and was founded in 1440 by Janus de Campofregoso. It dominates the town and harbour. Visitable in summer, you can admire the many exhibitions held here. The walk to get there, through the old streets, is a real pleasure.

Magnifique
Magnifique village avec une vue à couper le souffle depuis la citadelle. Le centre du village avec son petit port est très agréable

Un joli site à visiter, proposant une vue sur le golfe de Saint-Florent. Les expositions y sont intéressantes, mais le lieu est mal mit en valeur, dommage.

Citadelle intéressante, avec des expositions temporaires. Des médiateurs très sympathique sont là pour les explications. Entrée payante mais rien d’excessif. Quand il fait trop chaud dehors après manger, c'est un endroit parfait !

La Saint Tropez Corse ! certes car on y trouve de belles villas de gens aisés, mais aussi parce que c'est le seul port de Corse à ne pas avoir de port de commerce mais seulement un port de pêche qui a tout son charme ! la couleur de l'eau est magnifique et la citadelle bien conservée, attention cependant, ça grimpe !

Un joli site qui gagnerait à être mis en valeur.La citadelle semble à l'abandon.C'est dommage.Une petite salle d'expos temporaires dans la tour génoise. On traverse le vieux Saint-Florent pour s'y rendre. Des spectacles y sont organisés durant l'été.
