MAISON VERGNE
His parents, Georges and Roselyne Vergne, founded the house in 1964. Eric, former pastry chef to the Prime Minister in Matignon, and his wife Corinne have been at the helm since 2000.
If the house was originally a pastry shop, it has also become, over time, a chocolate factory renowned throughout eastern France. Here only the best ingredients are used: among others, Valrhona chocolate, almonds from Spain and hazelnuts from Piedmont, butter from the Echiré cooperative. Specialities include Petit Comté, with Grand Marnier marzipan and white chocolate, Craqueline, a fondant praline surrounded by meringue, or the slag from the Audincourt forge, crispy rocks with hazelnuts. You will also find a shop in Belfort, and another one in Montbéliard.
